The 1967 Major League Baseball season featured one of the greatest pennant races ever.  The American League witnessed a tremendous race as the Boston Red Sox, 9th place finishers in '66 surprised the baseball world and finished 1 game ahead of the Minnesota Twins and the Detroit Tigers.  The Chicago White Sox were only 3 games back and September provided day by day drama.  As luck would have it, the Minnesota Twins were in Boston to play the Red Sox on the last day of the season with the two teams tied at the top of the American League.  The Red Sox, trailing 2-0 scored 5 Runs in the bottom of the 6th and Jim Lonborg defeated fellow 20 game winner Dean Chance to give Boston the pennant.  The St. Louis Cardinals won the National League and beat the Red Sox in an exciting 7 game World Series.  It's an amazing time for baseball and all of the great names are peppered throughout each team.   Relive it all with Dugout Steps Baseball and the 1967 Season Set.
